A Catalogue of the scents that Clive has collected in Etraya of the people he likes cuz he's a little weirdo.

Cid: Citrus, leather, ozone, petrichor, hint of cavendish(safety, familiarity, sorrow, joy)
Barnabas: A cold, clear winter day, steel
Dion: A warm day in summer, floral and clean
Joshua (1, dropped): parchment and honey, with an herbal undertone and faint medicinal notes
Joshua (2, second appearance): sweet but burnt (like creme brule)
Vander (dropped): Sandalwood and lavender with earthy undertones, nicotine and ash
Verso (1, dropped): Warm leather, cedar, musk, whatever soap he chooses to use
Clea: Clay, fresh wood shavings, watercolor paint, whatever perfume she is wearing (florals at last sniff)
Sleipnir: Fresh damp earth (peat), birch tree tar, leather
Alex (dropped): Slight scent of coconut, a light, breezy day on the beach, subtle hints of jasmine
Renoir:Black Pepper, Cedarwood, Clove, Frankincense (Maydi), Vetiver. Undercut of turpentine and oil paints
Vax: An autumn breeze through an old-growth forest, woodsy, autumn air, slightest hint of decay
Prompto: Bergamot, cedarwood, cardamom, and wild rose.

OVERVIEW

Clive has lived a hard life. He became a child soldier to protect his baby brother, his mother tried to have him killed, and he was forced into slavery all within the first 15 years of his life. Life did not go up from there. Oh, and found out that he is a vessel to a God who wants to basically wipe his world away and start a new one.
Despite all of this, he is a kind man who puts the needs of others before his own. He has dedicated his life to liberating enslaved people and changing his world so everyone can live and die on their own terms. No more slavery, no more magic destroying their lands. He believes that there is good in the world, but does not deny the fact that the world is also an ugly place and that change is painful, both on a personal and societal scale. If he needs to become the villain in other people's stories to save them and protect the future of mankind, he will.

The Player

Pacing: I am generally on the slower side when it comes to responses. Sometimes if we are both online at the same time there can be some boomeranging. However, if you have something time-sensitive that you want to get through, let me know and we can plan a time where I can dedicate my attention solely to you.

Tag Style: I prefer brackets, but I'm cool with whatever.

Backtagging: I am always down for backtagging. If you aren't or the backtagging has gone on for longer than you would like, let me know and we can discuss what to handwave. If it has been awhile since I responded, the chances are high that I forgot or got distracted. Reminders for responses are always okay. I would appreciate a 72 hour window for responses before reminders are sent UNLESS we already planned to role play that day at a specific time. Then reach out ASAP.

Threadhopping: For the most part, I am totally fine with this (especially if it is on a public network). If it is something private, please talk to me about it first. Commenting that you are lurking is fine and honestly pretty funny for me so that doesn't need permission.

Fourthwalling: Ask first please.

The Character

Physical contact: Clive would generally only initiate if he knows the character well (because he is awkward), but little touches and gestures of affection without Clive's permission are totally fine.

Fighting: Absolutely. Heads up: Clive has like. A million special abilities so he can be overpowered for some in a fight. I am still learning how to write fight scenes, but I do enjoy them.

Injury: Likely inevitable, but lets discuss before we inflict any serious injuries.

Death: Must be heavily discussed first and have a purpose.

Sexuality He is learning as he goes. (All genders welcome)

Hugging: I LOVE hugs for Clive. He will initiate if he holds affection for the person and knows the person welcomes physical touch, but otherwise, he can be pretty awkward about initiating physical contact.

Kissing: If our characters get there, then they get there. Let's talk about it first. I do like it when he gets little cheek kisses, though. If our characters are at a point where that may be appropriate, let's talk about it. Once we establish that it is okay you no longer have to ask permission/discuss ahead of time for little or platonic kisses.

Flirting Please do. Clive will probably stonewall you, but please flirt with Clive.

Intimacy (this includes non-sexual intimacy): I am totally fine with this (if it makes sense). Let's talk about it.

Shipping: I am okay with canon, noncanon, and crosscanon ships. I prefer non-canon ships in role play because I want to explore new things with Clive, but I am not against it. I’m a filthy multishipper. I'm also open to new ships that I may not have explored in the past. Want to know if I ship it or will try something out with you? Just ask. This is a judgment-free zone.
